As I look forward to the month of June, my mentorship program with a great artist/teacher is continuing! I've attended 2 plein air workshops, won second place in a juried show and first in another (pictured below)... and will continue to paint! Seeing and painting beauty is so necessary in my life, as is sharing that beauty with you. I also love the light of Daylight Savings time!!!

Copper & Fruit, Second Place, 9x12
Green Apples & Wildflowers, First Place, 8x10
I'm thrilled the gallery in Carmel Valley has sold two of my paintings. Here I am pictured with a newer painting there framed for sale. I like the gold frame on this!
It's been a busy time since I've been helping with childcare for 2 grandkids, Monday through Wednesday morning in their home 2 hours north of here. It's a joy to have this time with them, aaaannnnd this makes me need to be a bit more focused for the briefer painting time during this short season.
Here are a couple images of my set ups and you see my new props of the red ginger jar and the French confit jar!!! Can't wait to paint the confit jar!!!

And I love to have 5x7's or 6x8s framed for table top for the moments to sit and breathe, or beauty in passing... tabletop art pictured below with gorgeous Peonies I'll paint tomorrow, maybe with that beautiful, mustard yellow jar! What are some of your things you love, past and future? Wishing you wellness and moments of beauty surrounding you!
